About Me

Who Am I?
My name is Jason Nassi, and I've been on the ol' Internet since the early 1990s, usually under the handle "jnassi". I hate writing bios about myself, they always sound so stilted!
I was born and raised in Massachusetts. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University, where I majored in American Studies and minored in Film Studies. During my time at Brandeis, I also worked for the university's Computing Services department at the Help Desk. That experience led me to the professional career path that I've been on for nearly 30 years.
I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area after university to start my career in the software industry. As of July, 2025, I've worked at Salesforce for over nine years, serving as a Senior Director of Software Engineering in the Customer Centric Engineering department (aka CCE).
Prior to Salesforce, I had nearly 20 years of experience at other software companies, including Netscape / iPlanet / AOL, Sun Microsystems, SugarCRM, Twilio, and TidalScale. Most of my experience is in leading Technical Support and/or Customer Support departments, working closely with software engineering departments.
I've been happily married to April Kyle Nassi since 2012. We have two Australian Shepards, Aria (12 years old) and Franklin (7 years old).
My parents, Ike and Ronee, live nearby in the SF Bay Area. My two younger brothers, Mark and Alex, live in Colorado with their families.
I’m an avid reader in my spare time, mostly fiction, often science fiction, fantasy, horror, and mysteries. I have a life-long love of superhero comic books, although I don’t read as much in recent years as I used to. I watch a lot of television, especially “prestige” shows and similar genres as my reading habits.
I’m a die-hard fan of the Boston Celtics (NBA), Boston Red Sox (MLB), and Bay FC (NWSL), and a lapsed fan of the New England Patriots (NFL) and San Jose Sharks (NHL). I’ve recently taken up a hobby of collecting fountain pens, which I use in my daily journaling and for taking notes.
I listen to a variety of podcasts that cover the gamut of my interests, including sports, TV and movies, books and comics, technology and business, and news and politics.
Where You Can Find Me
Aside from this site, you can theoretically find me online in any of these ways:
- jnassi <at> gmail <dot> com for email is the best option by far.
- My old Wordpress.com site is still running at http://jnassi.wordpress.com for now.
- Occasionally I'll post photos on Instagram, which automatically also post to Facebook.
- Anything professional will be in LinkedIn, which isn't checked often.
- I share what I'm reading on Goodreads, the music I'm listening to on Spotify, what I'm watching on TV on TV Time, and the movies that I watch on Letterboxd.
- I hang out in a few communities on Discord.
- I have accounts on Bluesky and Mastodon and Threads, all of which are basically dormant.
- I don't have Twitter/X anymore, deleted my account.
